KW Startup ApplyBoard Hits Unicorn Status

With everyone still in quarantine, it can be challenging to feel like life goes on and that there are still positive, growing experiences happening in the world and in our community especially because news tends to focus on the major headlines.

So this this week I’m highlighting something that really encompasses the nature of our tech industry and global recognition as a tech community to be reckoned with in Waterloo Region.

ApplyBoard is a local tech company that has reached especially notable levels of funding and growth.

ApplyBoard, a platform that helps students apply to top schools around the world, is celebrating its fifth anniversary on May 5, which makes it the Canadian company that achieved this milestone in the shortest amount of time.

In this video I’m discussing that as well as how that keys in on the real estate and socio and economic development of our Region. Are you ready to get started? Let’s do it.
